Like everything else, there's a few ground rules we need to cover so we know where we stand in regards to certain things. They are as follows:
When reqesting or commissioning a custom item, my preference is to meet folks halfway in regards to payment. I require a non-refundable payment of 50% up front at the start of every art commission or custom item request. If I have a waitlist (rare) this will secure your place in line and cover any materials I use to create your item.
In the instance of an artwork commission, the remaining 50% is required upon the approval of a sketch for your color piece, or if you have only purchased a sketch, upon completion of the sketch.
For an item like a tumbler, soap loaf or other bath and body batch, the remaining 50% and any shipping fees are due upon completion at the time the item is ready to ship.
The buyer is always responsible for all shipping fees.
Any custom item is going to take a while to make, large art pieces and soap loaves will take the longest. If you are ordering something as a gift, please bear this in mind. Also please plan for any delays in shipping. As we've seen over the 2020 holiday season, sometimes the USPS just can't keep up! Once an item leaves my hands, there's very little I can do about the time it takes to get to you.
Custom soap loaves take 6-8 weeks to cure. Custom tumblers take at minimum a week, my preference is two. I try to complete art commissions as quickly as possible, but they also take weeks as opposed to days (unless it is a sketch).
Progress shots are provided at intervals for approval and updates. You are free at any point in the process to request a pic of where your custom item is in it's creation. Occasionally I might have no update to give, but as long as you allow a reasonable interval of time between requests, I will almost always have an update for you.
If something comes up and you need to ask me about a refund, here are the general guidelines. Of course you are always welcome to get in touch with me to make your request and I'll consider if there are any extenuating circumstances, but for the most part, what is here is what I'm likely to tell you.
Unfortunately I cannot give refunds on bath and body once it has left my hands, full stop. The products go on an individual's skin and can be subject to tampering before it comes back to me. If you have skin sensitivites, please read all information provided carefully. I fully disclose all of the ingredients I use so if you have allergies or sensitivities, your triggers are listed in the ingredient profile for each product.
On ready-made for purchase crafts, like the tumblers, apparal, and other resin art items I am happy to provide a full refund as long as the item purchased is returned to me (shipping charge is on the individual asking for the return if shipping is required to return it) in the same condition as it was purchased. Items returned damaged or destroyed will not be eligible for a refund.
Refunds are not available for custom-made items unless there is some mistake on my part. Especially if the item bears your name or some other likeness or label unique to you.
If you've purchased a cup and you dropped it, please be honest with me! I've seen dropping damage. It's not possible to pass it off as "Well, it just happened!" If you message me and tell me you've damaged your cup by dropping, I am absolutely going to offer you some discounted options to either fix or restore it. I'm not a total hard-nose, I will work with you. If you lie to me, however, I'm not going to be as accommodating.
If the item is shipped and arrives at your doorstep damaged or destroyed, I will provide a full refund or replacement, your choice, and take it up with the shipping company. I would appreciate any photos of the packaging and item you can provide.
As long as the items are returned to me in their original condition: unmarked, undamaged, undestroyed; I will provide a full refund. As the craft items, shipping back to me is at the cost of the buyer. If a print or original item is shipped and arrives damaged or destroyed, I will provide a full refund and take it up with the shipping company. In the event that this happens, I would very much appreciate any photos of the packaging and item you can provide.
