Like most artists, I also take commissions for custom artwork in addition to my other custom items. I can do anything from a sketch to a painting. My preferred mediums include: pencil, colored pencil, watercolor, and acrylic. In time I may also start to accept digital media commissions, but for now, traditional media is my jam. All dimensions of artwork are in inches.
The 'base tier' of any commission is a sketch. I do sketches on bristol board in pencil. Sketches are very basic, very rough line art with no color and very minimal shading if any. You can choose between two sizes: 9x12 or 11x14.
The next step up from a sketch. The line art is cleaned up, shading is applied for a more polished, but still monochrome piece. The same two sizes are available for a shaded pencil piece.
The bulk of my work is in colored pencil or a combination of colored pencil and watercolor pencil and the medium you and I both will get the best results from if you're seeking color work. Colored Pencil/Watercolor Pencil will be on either Canson Mixed Media paper, bristol, or watercolor paper, and the sizes range from 9x12 to 14x17. To make it easy, I charge by the square inch based on coverage for these mediums.
In spite of using pencils in one form or another for most of my work, I do still appreciate the challenge of painting. I have the least control over it and the least amount of experience, but I still like to use it! Watercolor work will be on watercolor paper. Acrylic will be on either canvas, illustration board, or watercolor paper (yes, you get a say). Just like the color pencils, I charge by the square ince based on coverage.
